Amazingly, during this last week the cumulative number of visits to pages of the Valparaiso Poetry Review editor’s blog since its initiation last year surpassed the 100,000 mark. Although the periodic posts on this site had not been designed to draw the large audiences some other popular or literary sites admirably achieve, I appreciate the ever-growing readership for “One Poet’s Notes,” and I continue to value the strong support Valparaiso Poetry Review has had from its numerous readers, who have amassed an even larger amount of visits to the journal’s pages since its inception in 1999, and from members of the writing community during VPR’s nearly ten years of publication.
I once again offer my gratitude to all who have continued to be regular readers of “One Poet’s Notes,” either by conveniently subscribing on feeds such as Google Reader or by returning frequently to find fresh items and updates. I also wish to welcome the many first-time visitors who have discovered this website in the past year, and I encourage all readers to join the VPR Facebook page as indicated in the blog’s sidebar to receive automatic notice of issue releases of Valparaiso Poetry Review as well as news notes concerning poetry and poetics.
